- 1.50 cupsGlutinous Rice(Also known as sweet rice.)
- 1.33 cupsUnsweetened Coconut Milk(Well-stirred canned.)
- 0.33 cupsGranulated Sugar(For the base.)
- 3.00 tablespoonsGranulated Sugar(For the sauce.)
- 0.25 teaspoonsKosher Salt(For seasoning.)
- 1.00 tablespoonsSesame Seeds(Toasted lightly.)
- 1.00 largeMango(Peeled, pitted, and sliced.)
Instructions
Rinse glutinous rice in a fine-mesh sieve until water runs clear. Transfer to a bowl, cover with cold water by 1 inch, and chill overnight.

Drain rice well. Place sieve over a saucepan of simmering water (sieve shouldn't touch water). Cover with a towel and lid, and steam for 35-45 minutes, or until tender. Check water level and add more if needed.

In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup coconut milk, 1/3 cup sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and keep warm.
