
Refreshing Cucumber-Lime Electrolyte Drink
A quick and easy homemade electrolyte drink packed with fresh cucumber and lime, perfect for a hot day or after a workout.

- Measuring cups and spoons
- Medium bowl
- Rolling pin or hands
Ingredients
- 1.00 cupFresh Lime Juice(From about 8 medium limes)
- 1.00 tablespoonSugar(plus 2 teaspoons)
- 0.50 teaspoonKosher Salt(Diamond Crystal or ¼ tsp. Morton kosher salt)
- 3.25 cupsWater
- 1.00 largeEnglish Cucumber(About 11 oz.)
- 1.00 cupFresh Mint(Coarsely chopped; plus sprigs for garnish (optional))
Instructions
In a medium bowl, combine lime juice, sugar, salt, and water. Stir until sugar and salt dissolve completely.

Cut the cucumber into 4 equal pieces. Place chopped mint on top of 3 cucumber pieces and gently smash with a rolling pin or your hands until slightly wilted and broken down.

Transfer the smashed cucumber and mint to the lime juice mixture and let it sit for 10 minutes to infuse flavors.

Strain the mixture into a pitcher, pressing gently on the solids to extract all the juice. Discard the solids.

Slice the remaining cucumber quarter into rounds for garnish.
