- 2.00 cansChickpeas((14 oz each), drained and rinsed)
- 1.00 tspKosher Salt(or to taste)
- 4.00 cupsBroccoli Florets(from 1 large head)
- 1.00 mediumShallots(finely chopped)
- 2.00 clovesGarlic(minced)
- 1.50 cupsHeavy Cream
- 1.00 cupParmesan Cheese(shredded, plus extra for topping)
- 1.00 tablespoonLemon Zest((optional))
- 1.00 pinchRed Pepper Flakes(for a touch of heat)
Instructions
Melt 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chickpeas and salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, until slightly browned (10-12 mins). Transfer to a plate.

Melt 1 tbsp butter in the same skillet. Add broccoli and a pinch of salt. Stir-fry until tender-crisp (3-4 mins). Transfer to the plate with chickpeas.

Melt remaining butter. Add shallots and cook until softened (2 mins). Add garlic and cook until fragrant (1 min). Whisk in cream and bring to a simmer.
