- 1.00 cupWarm Water(Lukewarm, not hot)
- 1.00 tspGranulated Sugar(For yeast activation)
- 1.00 cupMilk(Warm)
- 2.00 tspSalt(Kosher salt recommended)
- 4.00 tbspUnsalted Butter(Room temperature)
- 4.00 cupsBread Flour(Gluten-free flour blend can be used)
- 1.00 cupGluten-Free Flour Blend(For gluten-free option)
- 2.00 tbspMelted Butter(For brushing)
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine yeast, sugar, and warm water. Let stand for 5 minutes until foamy.

Add milk, salt, and butter to the yeast mixture. Gradually add flour, mixing until a shaggy dough forms.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, turning to coat. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Punch down the dough and shape into a loaf.
